1. Acceptance

By creating an account, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

2. The service

VECTYR provides AI-generated training, nutrition, and recovery guidance. It is software, not medical advice. Consult a qualified professional before beginning any new training or nutrition program, especially if you have a medical condition, are pregnant, or are recovering from injury.

2a. AI features, accuracy & limitations

VECTYR uses AI to estimate nutrition macros from photos and descriptions, suggest training adjustments, power the AI Coach, and analyze progress photos. All AI outputs are estimates and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or wrong. Specifically:

• Meal scans & macro estimates: Calories, protein, carbs, fat, ingredients, and portion sizes are AI estimates derived from images or text. Real values may differ significantly. Verify packaging, weigh foods, or consult a registered dietitian for medical, allergen-sensitive, or precision nutrition needs.
• Food database: Third-party food data (USDA, OpenFoodFacts, brand-submitted) may contain errors. We do not guarantee accuracy.
• AI Coach guidance: Training, recovery, and nutrition suggestions are general fitness information, not personalized medical, clinical, or dietetic advice. Do not use them to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition.
• Progress photo analysis: Visual trend notes are subjective AI observations, not body composition measurements. We do not estimate body fat percentage and explicitly do not provide medical assessments.
• Calorie & macro targets: Calculated using the Mifflin-St Jeor formula based on the data you provide. Real energy needs vary by genetics, activity, hormones, and health status.

You are solely responsible for decisions you make based on AI outputs. If precision matters (medical condition, allergies, eating disorder, pregnancy, competition prep), verify independently and consult a qualified professional.

2b. Health, safety & assumption of risk

Strength training, weight loss, weight gain, and dietary changes carry inherent risk of injury, illness, or adverse health effects. By using VECTYR you represent that you are medically cleared for exercise and accept full responsibility for your training, nutrition, and recovery decisions. Stop immediately and seek medical attention if you experience pain, dizziness, or any concerning symptom. VECTYR is not intended for users under 16, individuals with eating disorders, or anyone for whom restrictive dieting or intense training is contraindicated.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for safeguarding your password and all activity under your account.

4. Subscriptions & payments

Premium subscriptions are billed monthly or yearly via Stripe. They auto-renew until canceled in Profile → Manage Subscription. No refunds for partial periods unless required by law.

5. Acceptable use

No reverse engineering, scraping at scale, abuse of AI endpoints, sharing one account across multiple humans, or using the service for illegal activity.

6. Disclaimer of warranties

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Training carries inherent risk of injury; you assume that risk.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the prior 12 months. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for personal injury, illness, lost profits, or lost data resulting from your use of the service or reliance on AI outputs. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations; in those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the smallest amount permitted by law.

8. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from Profile → Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

9. Eligibility & age

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. By signing up, you represent that you meet this age requirement and are medically cleared for exercise. Parents or guardians are responsible for any use by minors under their supervision (where permitted by local law).

10. Subscriptions, refunds & auto-renewal

Premium subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period until canceled. You can cancel any time from Profile → Manage Subscription, which stops the next renewal — access continues until the end of the current paid period. We do not provide refunds for partial periods unless required by applicable law (e.g., EU/UK 14-day withdrawal right, where applicable). Subscriptions purchased via Apple App Store or Google Play are governed by the respective platform's billing terms and refund policies.

11. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where the service operator resides, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will first be addressed by good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes will be settled by binding individual arbitration (or small claims court where eligible). You waive any right to participate in a class action to the maximum extent permitted by law. Nothing in this section limits non-waivable consumer rights under your local law.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated in-app or by email at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
